Prayer Blanket Ministry

"COVERING THOSE IN NEED IN PRAYER SINCE 2005"
The Prayer Blanket Ministry began at St. Stanislaus in July of 2005.  This ministry involves the sewing of lap-size blankets and pillow cases that are given to many people who are either sick or going through extremely difficult times in their life.  Many caring volunteers commit to prayer for the recipient as they are fulfilling their part in the construction of the blanket.  Each month these blankets are taken to where they are prayed over again and blessed by a priest.  Every person who receives a prayer blanket is lifted up in prayer weekly.  The prayer blanket is a symbol of a faith sharing community covering of prayer for the individual who receives it.

For more information or to request a Prayer Blanket contact Pat Koehler or the Parish Office (830) 460-4712.
The ladies involved in the Prayer Blanket Ministry are: Marie Schindler, Mary Clements, Albina Butler, Mary Hackleman, Mary Stein, and Olivia Flores.
