Confirmation
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.” 2 Corinthians 13:13
The Sacrament of Confirmation is one of the three Sacraments of Christian Initiation. In Confirmation, we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and the grace of the Holy Spirit is so powerful that it imprints us with a spiritual mark, or character. This is why Confirmation, like Baptism, is only received once. Confirmation is typically celebrated at the high school level after completing two years of Faith Formation classes that continue the child’s religious education while also focusing on the sacrament and the gifts that this sacrament offers. The two year classes normally start at tenth grade and continue through eleventh grade with Confirmation being received at the end of the eleventh grade. Please contact Rebecca at the Parish Office for more information. Adults who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation may contact the Parish Office at 830-460-4712. |
