His Holy Face Rosary Makers
The original group was founded by Veronica Quintana in 2011 with donations from several interested church members. The mission is to provide interested parishioners with the minimal training required to assemble a Mission Rosary and to provide the materials to do so at no cost. The completed Rosaries are collected each month, then given out to other ministries such as the Prayer Blanket Ministry and St. Vincent de Paul Society, to include in their outreach. Additionally, the rosaries are placed in the Vestibules of St. Stanislaus and St. Victor Churches for parishioners and guests to take at no charge. Lastly, many of the rosaries are bundled in groups of 100, then sent out to Missions around the United States and the world. All Rosaries are blessed before sent out for use. Because our group is now financed by donations and occasional financial gifts from the Knights of Columbus, we find sponsors to pay for mailing when it is needed, so that all the money donated can be used for the rosary supplies. Our supplies are purchased through Our Lady's Rosary Makers, who provide all Mission Rosary supplies at cost or below through financial subsidies they receive.
All people interested in learning about or sharing this Ministry can meet at St. Joseph's Hall after the 12:15p.m. Mass on the first Wednesday of each month. We meet so that we can turn in completed rosaries, get supplies needed for the next month, share in fellowship, and pass on techniques we have found to be helpful. Several members also know how to make chain rosaries and knotted rosaries, and are happy to share their knowledge, resources, and techniques to all who are interested. All are welcome to join us and share in this worthy mission. For more information please contact Linda McLaughlin at 830-328-0810.
